I love working in London. Working yards away from the Ritz means I'm only a short route-march away from the local Waterstones bookstore which, I have discovered, has five floors. Not only is it rammed with stuff but it has so many techie titles it's frightening.
I've spent the last couple of lunch breaks in there, pawing at titles ranging from Game AI for beginners to a Nursery Nurse's Guide to J2EE. Imagine a child in a sweetshop, a woman in a shoeshop or a drunk in a kebab shop and that's me in a bookshop.
If I had the money I could spend thousands in there and be an instant expert on Games Programming for Washing Machines or something. It's heaven I tell you ... heaven. Oh, and did I mention there's a McDonald's over the road? It might be cheap, crap food for the masses but somehow it does as emergency lunch and it sits so heavily in the bottom of your stomach yo canl;t possibly eat again all afternoon - the job's a good 'un!
Oh, by the way, there's no point to this posting whatsoever, I just felt like typing for a bit because my laptop keyboard makes a lovely clicky noise ...
